Filippo Minelli – Post Conflicto

Opening 23 Oct 2018. Barcú – Bogotá Arte y Cultura
La Candelaria, Bogotá – Colombia

The Italian Embassy in Bogotá in collaboration with Barcú-Bogotá Art and Culture invites you to visit the photo exhibition “Post Conflicto” by the Italian artist Filippo Minelli, realised during a two months long artistic residency in Colombia, in the departments of Putumayo, Guainía, Macarena and in the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta.

Minelli’s work tries to re-signify the Colombian landscape, until recently inaccessible due to armed conflict, through the use of photography, 3D scansions and smoke bombs used for artistic purposes and no longer for military operations. The creation process involved landscape research, interviews and mediation with local communities that were active part of the conflict or were affected by it. The meetings with indigenous groups, afro-colombian communities, the FARC, campesinos, the Colombian Army and National Police were facilitated by the Interior Ministry of Colombia.

It’s possible to visit the exhibition at the Barcú-Bogotá Art and Culture Fair from 23 to 29 October 2018. For further information
